Acoustic songwriter Trevor Dahl (better know as Plug In Stereo) is back on tour, promoting the release of his first full-length album entitled ‘Nothing To Something’. Standing out in a crowd of thousands of Portland-based, independent musicians, Trevor is a true Napoleon Dynamite of the Auto-Tune age. Awkward and trendy, yet honest and real. Nothing soaked below the surface, even hinting an attempt to be someone else. Just a well-tuned description of his own progression, love, challenges, growth, and individuality. Don’t miss him in concert with Weatherstar, Bird By Bird, James Belliston, and Discourse, August 8th in Ogden, Utah.

AFTER SHOW UPDATE:
Let me just say, this was a show for the books. At least for me, the night quickly changed from being ‘awesome’ to ‘unforgettable’. Those of you who follow me on Twitter may have heard that I broke my hand a couple days ago. The doctor wanted to put me in a cast, which would obviously make it impossible to play the show. I decided to tough it out and play with a broken hand. It took a lot of prayers (and pain killers), but I was able to make it through my set as direct support for Secondhand Serenade. Now we’ll just have to see if I can manage the next 6 weeks of shows in a full cast.

I just want to express my appreciation for everyone who came out to the show. You are the reason I do what I do, and you are the reason that I’ll never give it up. The only thing that I could hope for, is that my music inspires you as much as you inspire me. I also want to give a special thanks to Elisa LeSueur who sang harmonies with me on a couple songs, and of course John Vesely (Secondhand Serenade) for borrowing my keyboard. I hope some of your musical talent and success was soaked into the keys for me to use.

ORIGINAL POST:
I’ve got some news that you might enjoy. In less than 3 weeks, the always-lovable Secondhand Serenade is stopping by for a visit. Or should I say… gracing us with A Special Acoustic Holiday Performance. It’s not a secret, so feel free to tell everyone! David Elijah and I (a.k.a. James Belliston) have been asked to open up the show.

As a side note… I’ve been so busy with my band Covendetta, that I haven’t had much time for solo shows. It’s been about 7 months since my last acoustic show, so I’d love to see you all there. And don’t wait until the last minute to get tickets. If you miss this one, your girlfriend will never let you live it down. Show is all-ages, and expect a night of acoustic serenading.
